Merrill Legal Solutions Expands Down Under

We are proud to announce that, on 14 December 2006, Merrill Legal Solutions extended its Australian operations by opening its first office in Perth. This exciting move coincides with Merrill’s success in winning an important contract to provide reporting services to the Western Australia courts for overflow work. This new contract runs from 19 December 2006 until 2011 and will provide a substantial amount of work for our growing Australian team.

The new office is conveniently located directly opposite the new District Court Building in Perth, which puts Merrill in pole position for when the new District Court starts up there in 2008. In anticipation of our further expansion in Western Australia, the new office has room for growth and the size and functionality of the space means that it could also accommodate an arbitration hearing room.

Neil Griffin, Managing Director, Australia says “This is an exciting development for our Australian team. It will provide us with an excellent opportunity to gain additional work in Western Australia and enable us to have an experienced core staff structure in place in the lead up to the District Court commencing in 2008.”
