Irish courts choose Merrill Legal Solutions once again

Merrill started providing stenography services at criminal (and some civil) courts in Dublin and across Ireland in 2005, with that contract coming to an end in April this year. The new contract will run for up to three years, during which time the Courts Service intend to transition from stenography to digital transcription and recording technology (DART).

Building on this recent success, it has also been announced that Merrill, in partnership with Fujitsu, who will be responsible for installation of a complete audio recording system in the courts, is the preferred bidder for the DART contract.

The project will begin with a pilot in October this year with the contract due to commence officially on 1 Oct 2008. This will be a five year contract.
